When first I appear, I seem mysterious, but when explained, I'm nothing serious.

Heya folks, I'm Dizzy. Been a while since my last forum jaunt, so I'm excited to see what these boards become. I'm a folklorist hobbyist living in Providence, Rhode Island, and study mythical beasts demons and spirits from all over the world. Pleased to meet you all!

Brilliant - Good to have you on board! I look forward to seeing your posts on this forum. From the sounds of it, you'll love the demons and spirits section that we've previously set up.

Nice to meet you Dizzy! What kinds of creatures are you interested in specifically?

I'm excited to be here. Quirky, I'll check it out! You'll probably see some posts from me when I get some free time. Chaotic- Glad to be! WannaBe- My interests are all over the place. As a kid I devoured every book I could get my hands on when it came to folklore- from fairy lore to Japanese yokai, fearsome beasts to urban cryptids, and as an adult not much has changed.

That's awesome! Over here is pretty much the same story for me. I've been interested in all sorts of creatures that don't (at least currently) exist for almost all of my life. First it was cryptids, then it was dinosaurs and prehistoric life and now it's 'monsters' in general - ranging from ancient folklore and obscure legends to cryptozoology and ufology.
