Blacklore is my personal urban fantasy setting. I'll explain more about it soon, but it includes and revolves a massive amount of sentient monsters, which are referred to as "Demons." Here I'm going to be posting, fifty at a time, all of the species of demons in the setting. There are a little over 12,000 in total, and they fall into three main categories; mythology-based, original, and horrifically monstrous, mutated versions of real-world animals. Red a mythical, green are original, yellow are animal based, blue are based on D&D. Here are the first fifty:
A Bao A Qu Abomination Shape-shifting salamander-like slime monster. Extremely vain and narcissistic.
A-Mi-Kuk Abomination Marine arctic ambush predator. Resembles a mosasaur with four gripping tentacles instead of flippers.
Aadroma Demon Glowing orange amorphous beast in the form of a horned saurian demon with long taloned arms. Can absorb body parts from other creatures into its rubbery body.
Aakoros Demon Black woolly warthog-like demon with rhinoceros-like horns. Ethereal in nature, its wool can form tendrils of darkness.
Aarakocra Avian Archaeopteryx-like creatures. Proud warrior culture and wind control abilities; more primitive cousins of the Garuda.
Aardiox Saurian Earth-elemental prosauropod-like beasts. Subterranean, they have the ability to turn victims to crystal.
Aargolon Demon Winged gargoyle-like demons with an elongated skull. Tail ends in a lamprey-like maw that can fire venomous spines.
Aasivarluut Arthropod Giant woolly white arctic tarantulas. Highly venomous, they’re unusually fascinated by music.
Aatxe Hell Beast Huge red bull-like monsters, spectral with a skull-like face. They represent unchecked rage and hate monoceri with a passion.
Aaurata Aquatic Deep ocean fish creatures with a glowing head. Highly manipulative relatives of the Aboleth.
Abaasy Demon Gaunt cyclopean demons with metal teeth. Often ride larger, less humanoid, demons into battle.
Abacrus Abomination Slender saurian beasts with a huge white mane of hair. Were nearly wiped out in a war with the brutal Feetho.
Abada Great Beast Twin-horned rhinoceros-like creatures with unusually shaped heads and faces on the end of their snouts. Elusive and shy, but deadly in a rage.
