Central America is mostly just represented by Mexico in most bestiaries or other compilations of folkloric monsters, but today I have found three sites which provide far more interesting creature options for this area of the world than just La Llorona. I mean I love La Llorona, but there's only so much weeping I can take! Look through these sources for all manner of bizarre and wonderful beasties, ranging from high-heeled ghosts and headless monks to pot-bellied ghouls and 'fucked up carts' (a hilarious error on behalf of Google Translate). I'll take it that the most awesome creatures will show up on your pinterest Lore & Order page soon enough? Translating these things is tricky in my country (Dutch) as it really disfigures the sentences into something I cannot trust/understand most of the time. I'd rather had it translated into English, but I'm not sure how to change that. So I hope the most unique, special creatures end up on Lore & Order pretty quickly :-p

Yep! Almost all of the creatures in the sources that I posted here are now on L&O! Have a look at some of the most recent additions. Here's a complete list of the ones that I've added from those websites: El Gritón Timbo El Picudo La Carretanagua La Mocuana El Padre sin Cabeza La Taconuda La Novia del Mal La Sucia La Mula Herrada El Diablo en Pañales El Lagarto de Oro

Thanks! I daily check Lore & Order, so I've seen a lot of Spanish addictions to it already, thanks for the heads-up!
