1. No racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise bigoted commentary. Not even in a joking manner. Some people may not agree which views may be considered bigoted, but if you think it could reasonably be interpreted that way, don’t post it.
2. No harassment of any kind. Flaming and abusing others, especially after they or a mod tell you to back off, is strictly prohibited. Harassment will result in an instantaneous ban.
3. No advocation for violence in the real world.
4. Respect the creatures’ cultures of origin. We on this forum enjoy using a wide variety of beings from cultures all over the world in our creative work, but please be aware of the cultural significance of many of these beings and try not to demean them.
5. No depictions of sexual violence, bestiality, sexualization of minors, or other such vile and taboo subjects, unless they are directly in reference to events described in the mythological source material, and even then, no visuals, please.
6. No spam.
Everyone is entitled to two warnings. After the third warning, they will be banned for a period of two weeks. After they return, if they break these rules a fourth time, they will be banned permanently. This does not apply to cases of harassment, for which we have a zero tolerance policy.
In light of recent events, we have decided to update our rules with regards to political discussion. This should be fairly easy to follow - no personal attacks on other users. Don't attack groups of people (this means avoiding racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other such bigotry). Use of slurs (racial, sexual etc) count under this rule. Also, deliberate and consistent misgendering counts as an offense under these rules. If you think that you can make a broader declaration against a group of people - 'SJWs' for example - to get around personally attacking someone, then you'll be surprised when it's revealed that you can't. Cos you can't. Don't be a dick.
Also, on the subject of harassment, if a member of this forum harasses another member, it does not matter whether the harassment occurs here or elsewhere. If it is done to another member of this community, whether or not it takes place here is irrelevant.
