1) jinmenju, garuda, seraphim, naga, xiangliu 2) kogogiak, yelbeghan, hidebehind, odei, crocodingo, mad gasser of mattoon, black demon 3) hinquememon, pixie, sphinx, krampus, khalkotauri, green children of wool pit, gegenee, goryninka - jinmenju- tree yokai that grew smiling laughing flowers that looked like human heads and had face shaped fruit. - Seraphim- angels with 6 fiery wings and flaming swords. all angels come from the 6 main types of angels in my world - angel, ophanim, cherubim, seraphim, hashmallim, and punishment angels. ( grigori/watchers are there too but they all are fallen). all the special angels with known names started as angels transformed to one of the other types and then kept transforming as they grew stronger. - garuda- gigantic birdman the god vishnu rides around on him, enemy of all nagas and snakes. ( no Hindu gods are appearing in my story most likely) - naga- dragon-like snake monsters that can have many heads. at first I was drawn to the version of them that was half snake and half woman and in most fantasy games is the version you see too a point where seeing a snake woman makes me think naga before i think lamia but that was before i saw all the intricate sculptures like these www.canstockphoto.com/naga-sculpture-in-thai-temple-41715788.htmlwww.istockphoto.com/ca/photo/naga-sculpture-on-the-stairs-gm833623990-136299829the nagas i like best are the ones like those. - xiangliu- a serpent monster with 9 human looking heads, poisonous blood, and the power to create floods. worked alongside gonggong. - kogogiak- 10 legged polar bear monsters. - yelbeghan- boss? a 7 headed ogre with wisdom, strength, powerful magic, and riches. supposedly he is the polar opposite of a dragon ( when not described as a dragon or maybe even then too) for this im thinking opposite attributes, conflicting world views, they both do extra damage to each other. he also rides a 99 horned ox and in truth that catches my attention a bit more here with that many horns its not an ox anymore it should have its own name. anyway through my attempts to fit more horns i ended up deciding this ox is going to have a bull terrier face. found in dark, hotile, unreahable locations. - hidebehind- a mysterious creature that can keep slipping around and concealing itself to avoid observation. it very tall and lanky and apparently supposed to be a sort of half bear half dog creature- i missed this detail the first time. it will probably be the most shadow like creature in this universe. abilities- claw swiping and grabbing attacks from behind objects, instantly slipping behind another object after attacking, flattening itself out, moving around like a cat/shadow/snake. weak in wide open plains. - odei- a genie of thunder and personification of storm clouds. i made this one a living cloud monster smaller than other storm monsters and much more personified. not a lot of sources call it a genie but I like the idea. it will look a little like the Golem ( not the wood golem) from the disgaea series which also doubles as a genie in an interesting combo disgaea.fandom.com/wiki/Golem_(Disgaea)for abilities it will be able to retreat into a lamp or other magic object like other genies, summon rain and lightning, float, grow cloud sized and unleash a single powerful attack - crocodingo- i have liked this combo since Dingodile became a boss in Crash Bandicoot. huh i just noticed this creature is from the U.S and not Australia thats wild though it does seem to have originated from an Australian man). anyway this goofy hybrid will have to be in both countries as it fills out Australias creature nicely also there are no Dingos here. it will be the result of 2 creatures fusing or a genetic experiment by the government. - mad gasser of mattoon- almost wrote mas hatter lol. anyway this being sort of ended up evolving into something a little different than its origin in my story. the mad gasser is both a mad scientist, an alchemist, and a witch she can spray poisons, potions and spells with her sprayer. the gasses she sprays will have a wide variety of effects and ranges. can combine items and make a spray out of them for a special move, - black demon- a black megalodon or other type of giant shark - Hinqumemon- or the engulfer is a living lake. small fish and such will be swimming inside it at all times. in a game with at least as many water themed monsters as land monsters in i imagine setting where you are running alongside a body of water and both water and land monsters could participate in the same battles sometimes. but with hinqumemon you can take it a step further and bring those monsters on to land and have them fight from within the engulfer ( i am imagining a game where they dont just float in the air or flop onto land). the engulfer can use water magic, pull enemies into it, gives a boost to water monster, maybe if their is a summonable water monster it could be summoned inside the engulfer. im also thinking it appearance could be customized- change the type of fish and wildlife inside, add decorations to make it look like a beach or a giant fish tank by adding small pirate ships, treasure chests, castles, colorful pebble, plants, and skeletons, even change the behavior or appearance of monster that go inside it to make them more like fish tank decorations, as well as changing colors and visual effects in the water to make it look like- potions, stormy seas, swamps, or a bubble bath. maybe even float a baby island turtle on top. it doesnt do much of its own combat and is very hard to defeat but if it collapsesand all the water monsters inside take damage. - pixie- mischievous pointy eared wingless blue skinned fairy rivals wearing green dresses and pointy hats. i think i planned their inclusion as a sort in between average fairies and imp in terms of mischief tho with less chance of murder than either not sure tho - sphinx- a human headed and breasted winged lion hybrid monster. they turn battles into quizzes on mythological creatures, weapons, gods, and heroes. they will bite and claw the players whole party if they fail and will become friendly if answered correctly - Krampus- a hooved, horned, long tongued, goat like demon with a whip and sack to carry off children and punish them. works for santa claus but instead of giving gifts to the good children he punishes the wicked. one of several monsters more likely to appear in a Christmas event and will appear randomly unless the player has done something particularly nasty in which he is likely to appear frequently in snowy and icy areas to punish the player. - khalkotauroi- fire breathing bull automatons built by Hephaestus. probably have to face incomplete versions of it as training dummies and random encounters until its completed to Hephaestus's standards and then get to recruit it. - green children of wool pit- in my story they are young beings from another world that wandered into ours and do not know the languages and have a tendency to be sickly because something here poisons them they will be treated as fairy type monsters tho it will be unknown where they are from. they will also be holy attribute creatures as green spirits are supposed to represent sinlessness. - gegenee- not as powerful as Hekatonkheires and with far fewer arms but with the ability to wield a combination of 6 weapons and shields or 3 bows. i think they are distant relatives of the titans and were created from the earth just like gigantes. - goryninka- the third of the Baba Yaga trio in my story as she is theorized to be Baba Yaga. she wields a magnificent sword and lance that reach the sky ( or close to it). she is a type of female warrior called a polianitsa. she also killed a hero by yelling " kiss my arse" and then sitting on his face. special moves - casting high level magic, various combos withe the sword and or lance, and instant death move for enemies under 15% hp where she jumps and sits on their face.

1) huallepan, calingi, chort, fangliang, chonchon, ohaguro bettari, sirrush/mushushu, ordog, apep, sarkany 2) okiku, mogwai/yaoguai, ankou, la llorona, baphomet, ulikummi, shaytan, tahamaling 3) ningen, ahool, colocolo, akaname, sverohvalur, karkadan, beast of gevauden, king of the locolici, ana - huallepan- sheep- calf hybrids with twisted features, short twisted front legs and seal like bodies.shy and harmless on land they become aggressive and dangerous in the water probably because oits their territory or feeding ground. they mate with both sheep and cows and have more twisted offspring they can even spread their mutation if a pregnant woman gets near them the child will have twisted legs and faces. im going to take a note from bloodborne and H.P Lovecraft and say that primarily negative mutations like this are from prolonged exposure to the presence of powerful eldritch beings that are not controlling the mutations to give near immortality and strength. attribute- water, earth - calingi- people that only live 8 years- I had an idea that after they die they really go to another world where it turns out they are magical beings and start to learn how to use their powers. - chort-also called Czart/ Bies/ Biesy fire demons with horns, pig like faces, and long skinny tails. made of fire, live in remote marshlands, shriek and giggle. I like how they were grouped with the fiends in Witcher 3 that adds to giving them a cool image. attribute- fire, earth - fangliang- a small imp/demon thing that looks like a 3yr old child with tan skin, pointy ears, beautiful hair, and red eyes. this came from the same page of creatures that names and appearances just kept changing and getting mixed together same as wangliang the three legged turtle. im not sure about either creatures inclusion right now. - chonchon- a flying head with wings and talons. this feels like the odd one out of the head monsters out there but with legs and wings it feels like the one that could survive in the wild better. - ohaguro bettari- a cackling big headed woman with pure white skin a dome like face with no other features except huge grinning mouth with sharo black teeth. in my story they will be absolutely caked in makeup. - sirrush/mushasshu- a reddish serpentine dragon relative with long thin legs and large eagle like claws. - Ordog- a faun like creature covered in black fur, stinking like sulfur, and carrying a pitchfork constantly stirring a cauldron full of souls and trying to acquire more souls. - apep- boss. giant serpent of chaos and storms it fights the Egyptian gods especially Ra. in my story its not really a snake it just resembles one as it is a being of chaos and not entirely of this world. on its cobra-like hood it will have huge eye markings. its skin will be covered in a complex shifting pattern of dazzle camouflage kind of like the Eaters from Digimon digimon.fandom.com/wiki/Eater_(Purebreed_Mode)digimon.fandom.com/wiki/Mother_Eater- Sarkany- boss. has a varying number of heads. a demon lord that wields a swords and a mace. floats around on a stormclouds. can cause floods, tornado, and storms and has a petrifying gaze . there is another version that is a dragon so he will be able to turn into a dragon. attribute electric, dark - okiku- "plate counting servant girl spirit. Falsely accused of breaking a plate then tortured and thrown down well because she rejected a samurais advances. Continually counts 9 plates until someone shouts ten at the end of her count setting her free. Possibly bound, tortured, beaten with wooden sword. Before death. May appear tied up. Okiku’s ghost was seen wandering the castle grounds. Night after night, she would rise from the well and enter her master’s house, searching for the missing dish. She would count the plates After counting the ninth plate, she would let out a blood curdling scream that could be heard throughout the castle. She tormented Aoyama in this way, every night, robbing him of his rest. Those who heard part of Okiku’s counting became very sick. Those unlucky enough to hear her count all the way to nine died shortly after" her story was pretty popular for a while when there were not a lot of yokai people talked about outside Japan almost up there with the gashodokuro and yuki-onna anyway most likely she would be an npc in a game possibly as a joke she could work in a restaurant as a ghost and not like it due to her backstory and all the plates. - mogwai/ yaoguai- I did once ask fuckyeahchinesemyths on tumblr if these 2 were connected never got an answer or any details on the creatures and as far as I can tell yaoguai are generic chinese demons with a variety of appearances and a goal of ahieving immortality and mogwai are ones that mate in the rainy season. anyway i will be basing this creature on the mogwai end of things they wont look like they do in Gremlins but their might be some similarities. - Ankou- a skeletal grave watcher with a scythe. works for death. they are servants of grim reapers the differences will be they are weaker, cloakless, and unable to float. and while ankou are human skeletons reapers will be implied to be something more otherwordly. - la llorona- ghost of a woman who drowned her children in a fit of rage. she now floats around wailing, crying, bringing misfortune and drowning people. attribute water, dark - baphomet- a goat headed winged demon worshipped by the knights templar. - ulikummi- a blind and deaf god made of rock ( monstropedia said green quartz but that site wasnt known for accuracy) killed by the gods because his size was becoming a danger to the world. kind of rude of them. attribute earth - shaytan- evil demonic djinn they have fire in their blood and try to possess people. attribute fire, dark - ningen- large white creatures with hand like appendages and simplistic facial features living in the sea around japan and the arctic. they might also have tentacle. - ahool- I might cut these bat winged monkeys from my project - colocolo- a feathered rat-lizard hybrid. - akaname- a frightening looking humanoid that cleans filthy bathrooms with its long tongue but is mostly harmless. attribute water, dark - sverohvalur- or sword whale is a type of evil whale with an owlish face, sharp teeth and a tall sword like fin that can cut through other whales or even ships. i wonder what it would take for a fin to actually be able to do that. - karkadann- one of the rhino- unicorn hybrids that came about before the smaller more magical and more horselike unicorns we came to know even existed. in my project the rhinos shared ancestors with unicorns while true rhinos ended up hitting a dead end path where they had developed a strong immunity to magical mutations which is why there are not a lot of non unicorn related rhino monsters, at one point in the past their ancestors split off into a category i call rhinocorns and then unicorns split off from them. rhinocorns are bigger more aggressive and have much less magical power than unicorns they have been around longer as a species. karkadann are atually going to be a unique variant of rhinocorn due to their black scales, poison curing horn, and dewlap. art wise i plan to make rhinocorns more like a combination of both creatures, perhaps like that extinct russian animal that looked like a unicorn. - beast of gevauden- an unusually large wolf-like monster with striped reddish fur that was loose tearing people apart in france for a while. I like its official art . - King of the Locolici- from the romani myth of the children of Ana a demon that lusted for the queen of a variety of Nymphs called Keshali Nymphs her name was Ana he and his demon hords kidnapped her and then he repeatedly fed her some horrible things raped her and they had 9 disease personifying monster children after the last one poreskoro he was so horrified he fainted and agreed to let Ana go. he does not seem to have a name and fun fact an alternate version uses and 8 legged goat instead so I made him into a demonic 8 limbed goat monster. the only boss level creature out of the Ana story is Poreskoro definitely not the king. - Ana- queen of the keshali nymphs. she can turn into a golden toad so i decided she has golden skin and somewhat frog like hands. the wording seem to alternate between calling her a fairy and a nymph i suppose she might be more of a fairy by the rules I have set up for how nymphs work in this world. adding to the lore of this story- she was cruel to the ice mouse silali for being the the first child she gave birth too without being raped beforehand but in my story she will later on regret this and try to make up. she will also realize the 2 headed murder bird Melalo was whispering in her ear and giving her the bad advice to keep eating and applying awful things to her skin and that caused much of her misfortune and monstrous children and she will have a new lest favorite child. i drew her young and before she went through her rough forced marriage, rape, and diseases but I should probably draw the version that has been through all that and returned to gaurding her people until the age of 999 in a black castle and eating nothing but 3 drops of blood from 3 different nymphs everyday- she would likely be very old and maybe her golden skin would turn white and she might be wearing a mask she would be bed ridden but still have powerful magic which she is using to protect and hide her people.

I really love these updates! Keep them coming. Favorite out of this bunch = ulikummi, a creature I don't even use myself, but I really like your art for it.
One question though, why would you cut out the unique flying monkey ahool, but keep the counting japanese girl/Makup-japanese girl humanoids? You have like 40 japanese girl spirits/humanoids but only 2 flying monkeys (if you have xiao)?

most of the Japanese ghost girls that have made my list have more lore, backstories, and abilities than the ahool. i probably wont end up cutting anything in truth i have probably left the 2 or so other creatures I said i would cut on my list.

1) dobyarchu, ladon, colchian dragon, hikeshi baba, nozuchi, mi-ni-wa-tu, devil monkey, rusalka, pulao, yuxa 2) pazuzu, erymanthian boar, j'ba fofi, issie, 9 headed bird- this page was my worst art I didnt even take a good photo of it. 3) gowrow, siren, amarok, ibaraki doji, amalthea, snoligastor, ouroboros, chamrosh, aka manto - dobyarchu- a doglike otter monster the size of a crocodile black fur with white patches. - ladon- another child of echidna, a serpent monster with one hundred heads it guards the golden apples of the hesperides. the lernean Hydra and all other hydras will have 10 or less regenerating monstrous heads and will have 4 legs the ladon will be much smaller and have 100 hundred head resembling normal snake heads and will be legless. it will generally be twisted around around trees a lot. - colchian dragon- another child of echidna this one is a dragon that guarded the golden fleece. its teeth were sewn into a field sacred to aries and spartoi sprung up. due to its backstory I gave it lots of teeth in fact it will have multiple rows of teeth, to really separate it from other dragons I gave it a large underbite, it will be one of the few dragons that can summon spartoi while still alive. - hikeshi baba- a groteque little old lady yokai that puts out lanterns a makes place gloomier. as she puts out lights random yokai will start to appear she will be carrying some sort of anti lantern that makes the area around her darker and weakens fire and light attacks and spells within that area. - nozuchi- basically a ball of hair and a big mouth and no eyes or nose its eats small wildlife and bites people by rolling down hill at them like the slide rock bolter does. anyway from what i can tell my first instinct reading the description was a big caterpillar with dangerous giant mandibles but Im open to making some big changes there since thats just sort of ok and could be better. oh it also spreads fevers. - mi-ni-wa-tu- has a single horn a cycloptic eye a rough crocodile like back and a beaver tail covered in spikes. it swims fast and can cause people to go mad or writhe in pain with its presence. I decided it being a beaver monster made the most sense. - devil monkey- basically the baboon version of bigfoot but quicker and more aggressive. it can jump across entire fields on kangaroo legs and has a big hairy beaver tail tho I probably should have drawn it bigger as it looks awkward like that or maybe a beaver tail will always looks awkward on a primate. - Rusalka- russian/slavic/polish women who drowned and reincarnated as large breasted amazonian mermaids. they sometimes sing beautifully, seduce men, tickle them to death. Im assuming by amazonian they mean they are all muscular women - pulao- a teeny tiny dragon with a big roar its image is carved on top of bells to make those bells louder. other than that the myth talks a lot about them being eaten by whales. i guess their loud roar could mess up echolocation and would be powerful against whales. - yuxa- or sly snake a 100 year dragon headed old snake monster with fire breath, strong venom, mind control, and a barbed tail. turns into a woman seduces men and gives birth to dragons. - pazuzu- a demon He has the body of a man, the head of a lion or dog, talons of an eagle, two pairs of wings, and a scorpion's tail. causes droughts, destructive winds, and famine. is invoked with and amulaet upon to fight off and frighten other evil spirits and demons especially his sister Lamashtu therefore keeping pregnant women and their children safe from her. in my story he will only be interested in fighting the strong therefore will mostly be summoned to fight other demons and will sometimes show up randomly on his own. - erymanthian boar- the most basic of the greek giant raging boar monsters and still thats a pretty cool archetype of basic monster anyway. hes in my project because there is already a lot of cool art of this creature and I decided all monsters from the labors of Hercules had a place in my project. - j'ba fofi- pretty much the face of giant mythological spider monsters their young are a bright yellow-orange. all giant spiders will be subspecies of each other in my project although some will have different abilities and will behave differently ex-pindaya/pinguya spider- kidnaps princesses, the siren spider from france sings to lure its prey in, the church lamp spider - drinks whale fat out of lanterns. - issie- a japanese lake monster it used to be a white mare. appearance based partially off a sculpture of it - 9 headed bird- ok so when I drew that i forgot birds with long thin necks were a thing. a 9 headed bird phoenix like bird it was a symbol of the chu people therefore demonized by their enemies. i guess it could have fought on the side of the chu people maybe if their is a monster from the zhou dynasty it could be a natural enemy. - gowrow- a 20 ft long lizard monster dragon like with huge tusks and a row of spikes going down its back and a blade at the end of its tail. i have a lot of crocodile and alligator monsters as a subtle nod to a book series called the "Long Earth" series where they travel between countless parallel earths and one consistent is that most of them had some sort of crocodile/alligator. - siren- bird women that sing to lure men into crashing their ships into sharp rocks and eat them on a pile of pones. they are more dangerous and its a bad omen if they grow silent. in my world they are a combination of woman, fish, and bird and have sharo almost anglerfish like teeth. i probably did the art here before playing the witcher 3 but they will look similar too the sirens from that series both the monstrous and normal form as well as the sirens from ice age thewitcher3.wiki.fextralife.com/Siren iceage.wikia.com/wiki/Siren- amarok- wolves that are bigger than normal but not big enough for their jaws to touch the moon. lets say they are about the size of draft horses. other giant wold species are - waheela- the alaskan cryptid, warg- giant norse wolves, the first wolf in the world- a large wolf that was a companion of the hero Hatakachafa - ibaraki doji- born with fangs, long hair, the ability to walk, and the ability to laugh menacingly this child soon became too much for its parents and was abandoned. raised by a barber eventually developed a taste for accidentally cutting customers faces and drinking the blood the barber got angry later at a bridge ibaraki notice the reflection had the face of an oni now. ibaraki doji ended up joining shuten doji's gang and losing an arm in battle. Ibaraki Dojis sex is in question but there are not a lot of mentions of female oni so Im going to lean towards Ibaraki Doki being a woman. i gave her a sword instead of a club because in the story she cuts people with a razor so its seems fitting but like all oni she will be proficient in multiple weapons. - amalthea- The goat that helped raise and protect Zeus when hes was being hid from cronus. I imagine she is pretty well set for life and can even call in favors from the Zeus himself for special attacks. - snoligoster- a long amphibious creature with a big horns on its back for impaling prey and a propeller like tail. this myth was started by racists but its still useable. - ouroboros- boss. a giant serpent biting its own tail represents destruction, renewal, and rebirth. - chamrosh- a dog/ bird version of a griffin - aka manto- another bathroom ghost urban legend from japan. a beautiful masked ghost man that asks what color of paper or cape people want and then murders them in a way based off the color they chose.

1) agropelter, reynard, rukh, inflatable hedgehog, kawauso, the terrible monster, glyptodont, aka shita, balaur, joint snake 2) giant space brains, gargouille, old saybrook blockhead, garson invaders, crazy critter, tambanokano, cadejo, ther four symbols, bagiennik 3) goblin, jinshin mushi, xuangui, king dog saurr, peryton, bugbear, flaming teeth, snow lion, amphiptere, kiyohime - agropelter- "Lives in a hollow tree fires twigs and splinters at people. Quick, slender wiry body, villainous ape face ( i wonder what that means just a big angry toothy ape or like a curled moustache it twirls around in its fingers). Arms like muscular whiplashes. Eats owls and woodpeckers. Its pup is born on Feb 29th in odd numbers" - Reynard- anthropomorphic fox and trickster "hero" whos stories parodies a lot about politics and religion he honestly is kind of a psychopath who is not above rape, murder, and pissing in the eyes of children and blinding them. constantly tells lies that are always believed, always avoids karma, lustful and bisexual and apparently quite skilled. Reynard in my story as it does not take place in a fully anthropomorphic world will come off like a monster lurking around with its knife to cause mischief or rape something and will have crazy eyes almost like a lot of cartoon wolves and foxes sometimes get as well as a a big grin and frequent laughter. he will still do heroic things as well but will come off as wild and dangerous like a barbarian hero that has his way with those he rescues or defeats combined with a monster that attacks people on the road. - rukh- the face of giant birds. other species include kreuztet/biazolar, ngani-vatu, nuyenunc. i do not know why i drew a bald eagle - inflatable hedgehog- or zamba zaraa, a hedgehog that inflates to the size of a yurt when threatened. Im not sure if this one is on my list at the moment - kawauso- river otter yokai disguises itself as a young beggar child and tries to buy alchohol. im not sure if this one is on my list either - the terrible monster- okay now this is bad name probably among the worst but its not that hard to track down at least its on wikipedia. it is created from the blood of murderers and " it was said to be nearly 50 feet long, with the head of a lion, the beak and talons of an eagle, and the tail of a scorpion" and was also covered in chainmail that looked like it was made of mother of pearl. I made some changes its not going to be quite as large as 50ft long and instead of a beak it has a sharp bony jaw, it is not just created from the blood of murderers but made of itits body will be able to shift its flesh around make it disappear to avoid attacks and change shape. - glyptodont- a fearsome critter kangaroo that stores rocks in its pouch and tries to use its tail to hits the rock into a tree. a basic ranged attack monster. - aka shita- a small hairy bestial monster with a bright red tongue and claws it floats and is always hidden in a perpetual cloud around its body. im going to change the design I drew here a lot it no longer feel it reflects the nature of the monster. - balaur- large dragon with fins for legs and 7-12 heads. - joint snake- chaotic-myth-boy.tumblr.com/post/159196292702/species-joint-snake-class-snake-reptilea fearsome critter snake that can put pull itself apart or reassemble itself even if chopped into pieces. It will be counted as undead in my story. a similar creature is the beithir from Scottish folklore that has the same ability and has a d&d monster named after it - giant space brains- giant floating blue brains from space with big red cycloptic eyes. they have telepathic powers and relay messages of doom into people heads to warn the world. - gargouille- a dragon that could unleash a flood of water from its mouth and was the inspiration for gargoyles. it also shares the tarasques story of being tames then slaughtered by a mob of people that were still afraid of it - old saybrook blockheads- rubbery blobbish creatures with transclucent cube with red spherical core inside for heads. a pretty basic abstract otherwordly creature but maybe it can be a sign of much stranger things to come. - garson invaders- huh this one seems to have disappeared from my list entirely. 13ft tall alien with single eyes 6 arms with crab like claws and blue-green skin - crazy critter of bald mountain- horse sized scaly seal with tentacle-like limbs alien. -tambanokano- a gigantic crab monster that shoots lightning from its eyes and create waves with its movements. the second monster from the phillipines that tries to eat the moon/ moons goddess but this time its specifically the one that is its own mother that it wants to eat. - cadejo- a dog-like creature with goat horns. out of the various dual natured monsters where one is white an helpful and the other black and evil this is the one I decided had the most appeal. the white cadejo is said to protect and guide people and the black cadejo is said to scare people, drive them to madness, tempt them, and savagely attack them and possibly be the devil itself. in my story they will be in some way paired up permanently but im not completely sure if I want it to be one creature with a dual nature it can switch between or if they are like twins and always appear together. either way they will do a mix of healing, buffing, and attacks and are recruited together. as wild encounters they may be at odds one of them helping one of them attacking but when recruited they will be have better teamwork. - the four symbols- azure dragon of the east- and spring said to drink from waterfalls. water attribute. vermillion bird of the south- and summer a recolored phoenix, white tiger of the west- and autumn. king of beasts, and the black turtle/tortoise of the north- and winter this one is a 2 for one as its an black snake entwined with a black turtle/tortoise. and the yellow dragon of the center- " Its waking, sleeping and breathing determined day and night, season and weather" it doesnt exist in the japanese version of the myth which lead me to the idea that it will be a temporary fusion of the other 4 while primarily yellow it will have some scales the colors of the other 4 mixed in it. it will have hardened armor on its back like the tortoise, large claws like the tiger, wings like the phoenix, and a mix of mostly yellow scales and but also a lot of blue scales like the dragon. - bagiennik- little water spirits that had big nostrils between their eyes and oily snot that burned that burned victims it was fired at. its the only creature that has really gone in and out of my project but its probably staying - goblin- small mischievous little green monster that live in caves and woodlands. "They are almost always small and grotesque, mischievous or outright malicious, and greedy, especially for gold and jewelry. They often have magical abilities similar to a fairy or demon." they will have some magic and the ability to make crude weapons or find weapons to use. pathfinder for the most part kind of has the ideal depiction of how I want goblins to look. - Jinshin Mushi- a fist sized insect that makes sound waves when they gather into a swarm they can cause earthquakes. game mechanics- they will mostly just call for more of them to come and as more appear they can cause bigger earthquake and soundwave attacks. - xuangui- black turtles with beaks and snake tails. - king dog saurr- " When the people killed Onund, he subdued the area again, and offered the people either his slave, who was called Thorer Faxe, or his dog Saurr (a name which means "excrement"to be their new king. They chose the dog, as they thought they would be rid of him sooner. For three years Saurr was treated regally, with a collar of gold, courtiers, a throne, and a mansion - and routinely signed paw-print decrees - until one day wolves broke into his fold and tore him to pieces." - peryton- green or blue deer bird hybrids and the most famous fakelore. i should have drawn the 4 legged version. - bugbear- i have gone back and forth on how bear like they should be and what they shoul be like but i think bogleech hit the nail on the head www.bogleech.com/halloween/hallbest-bugbears.html- flaming teeth- a vicious giant monster with flaming logs for teeth. I have thought a lot about this one for a while its whole mouth being full of flames and having normal teeth worked pretty well but i have a new idea - this monster has an artificial body posessed by some sort of demon. when the teeth burn to ash the monster goes dormant but when sharpened logs are placed in the mouth they will suddenly be engulfed in flames and it will awaken. - snow lion- firstly im sorry that art is wrong back then i was just going off the decriptions to see what i come up with and I did not realize it does not look like a normal lion and looks more like a lion dog/lion dancer costume/or even a shisa. it has white fur, a turqoise mane, and bright eyes. its milk heals and its roar can knock 7 dragons out of the sky. its a symbol of peace and of Tibet. -amphiptere- covered in greensh yellow feathers and with a beak like snout and a spiked tail this creature is either serpentine OR 2 legged like a wyvern. it most likely will not be a type of dragon in my story. - kiyohime- a woman who got so angry over romantic rejection and deceptions of a monk that she started glowing with a divine light and turned into a rage filled dragon.

1) Duke Crocell, marquis phenex, king paimon, count glasya-labolas, charun, duke bune, globster 2) cuelebre, crescent, akupara, waterhorse*, sugaar, duke vepar, vrykolakas, parandrus, fenghuang 3) apocalyptic beast, panti, hyakume, al tinnin, jerruilette, jack-o-lantern, odontotyrannus, con rit - duke crocell- i should probably mention that while demons existed as long as angels and are separate creatures many demon lords are fallen angels that went full demon in my story. "appears as an angel that speaks in dark and mysterious ways, He can also warm bodies of water, create the illusion of the sound of rushing waters, and reveal the location of natural baths". another creature with an obsession like el sombreron's braiding, president valac and his snakes, or the mambabarang witches and their insects this angelic demon will be obsessed with baths. - marquis phenex- a demon in the from of a dark phoenix it is a good poet, an obedient ally, and always carrying false hope of returning to heaven in 1200 years. it also sings a song that is dangerous to the summoner- probably hypnotizes then and puts them in its control im guessing. I decided that lionfolk will be a species of demon but im not sure if there will be an entire species of dark demonic phoenixs but either way only the unique demon lords of these species will play a role in this story. - king paimon- speaks in a loud roaring voice and has an effeminate womanly face. will only answer questions after being allowed to ask what they wish to ask and being answered. " he can reveal all mysteries of the Earth, wind and water, what the mind is, and where it is, and everything the conjurer wants to know, gives good familiars, dignities and confirms them, binds men to the conjurer's will" based on this Paimon will be a demon spellcaster that mainly uses earth, wind, and water spells. wears a crown and rides a dromedary. accompanied by a host of demons playing trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments- they will probably be imps in my story. - count glasya-labolas- basically a flying murder dog described as having griffin wings. "He is the author and captain of manslaughter and bloodshed, tells all things past and to come, gains the minds and love of friends and foes causing love among them if desired, incites homicides and can make a man invisible". - charun- the etruscan counterpart to the greek ferryman of the dead. " Guarding the entry to the underworld he is depicted with a hammer (his religious symbol) and is shown with pointed ears, snakes around his arms, and a blueish coloration symbolizing the decay of death. In some images he has enormous wings. He is also depicted as a large creature with snake-like hair,a vulture's hooked-nose, large tusks like a boar, heavy brow ridges, large lips, fiery eyes, pointed ears a black beard, enormous wings, discolored (pale cream, bluish or greyish)skin, and snakes around his arm." had to at the very least remove the lips to make this design work. - duke bune- " depicted as a three-headed dragon, being his heads like those of a dog, a griffin, and a man (although according to some grimoires he has two heads like a dragon and the third like a man)". i combined the 2 descriptions together going with one dragon head, one griffin, and and one human head- i guess thats similar to how a lot of other people decided to make him look- im still finding out my own way to make them look right on one body. - globster- a mix of rotting dead animal carcasses ( usually whales) and pollutions a number of them as well as more plain unidentified animal corpses have washed ashore and been mistaken for monsters. in my project it will be a type of monster still made of much the same stuff this will be the pollution monster of this world in the form of a misshapen blob with various parts sticking out including of course tentacles and lobster claws. - cuelebre- long lived dragons that have scales that grow harder and impenetrable as it grows older and spits magic stones that heal and cure disease it is very vulnerable to eating things that are not safe for it to eat. mostly sleeps and stays still. game mechanics- def automatically grows with the amount of playtime, defense doubles when asleep, can basically lay there as a wall, special ability it drools on nearby allies healing them, may randomly get sick or weaken when an item is used on it. - crescent- a unique and tall female gray alien with long straight black hair. a painter named David Huggins claims to have lost his virginity to her. as long as David Huggins does not try to copyright her she will be among the oddest choices i will be including in my project. - akupara- giant tortoise that holds the world on its shell. im not sure i will be escalating things as far as world turtles or phoenixs that represent the entire cosmos but they are cool creatures - waterhorse- at first I was going to go in a direction where all waterhorses were the same as hippocampuses but now I will not be including hippocampus at all and waterhorses will be their more traditional monstrous horse that has 4 legs and drowns people and eats them form. kelpies and each uisage are the main species. - sugaar- a little wingless dragon that flies around in the shape of a fiery crescent. associated with storms. - duke vepar- a mermaid/merman demon. governs the sea, guards armored ships full of weapons. causes putrefying sores, wounds, worms, and other parasites can also cure all those issues. - vrykolakas- Greek/ Slavic, Vampire/werewolf/dangerous undead/bugbear. Sacrilegious life you die come back as undead or a werewolf that died and became a vampire. Swollen, undecayed, large, drumlike body, ruddy complexion, gorged with fresh blood, associated with red hair and gray eyes. Wander around, spread epidemic, knock on doors turn the people who answer into their kind. Grow more powerful when left alone. Weakness- beheading, impaling, exorcism, cremation, needs to count seeds or grains of sand. i dont really know what drumlike body actually means but since they are gorged on blood they will be bigger vampires and i decided they have leathery skin like a drum and the can play there own bodies like drums. - parandrus- a big reindeer with camouflage fur. i did cut this one from my project but it might come back. - fenghuang- "Its body symbolizes the six celestial bodies. The head is the sky, the eyes are the sun, the back is the moon, the wings are the wind, the feet are the earth, and the tail is the planets. Its feathers contain the five fundamental colors: black, white, red, blue and yellow. It is sometimes depicted as having three legs “fire, the sun, justice, obedience, and fidelity” also called hō-ō." this phoenix creature represents the cosmos and also looks like its made of a variety of animal and bird parts. again im not entirely certain of where to go with creatures that embody such metaphysical natures, i doesnt even have to be huge or all that complex to have the power of the cosmos within it at least. - apocalytic beast- specifically the third one the scarlet beast that has the body of a leopard 7 heads, 10 horns, some crowns and is bright red. i always get it mixed up with the 7 headed dragon version of satan tho. eh you know what throw the first one in there too they can be recolors if each other the first one is water attributed. - panti- a creature that exchanges fabulous magic teeth for lost baby teeth. in much the same way i imagine the shellycoats giving valuable items as trade for shells the panti would as well except those items would mostly be magical teeth that can be equipped or used as items. i imagine there would be a lot of teeth that could be added to the inventory with all these creatures- including the magic dragon teeth that grow spartoi warriors when planted. i think covering the face was a mistake it nees a big mouth and it should be keeping the teeth in its mouth and have a mouth full of mismatched teeth. - hyakume- a large blob covered in eyes they are nocturnal and weak to light. can detach eyes and attach them to others - al tinnin- many headed fire breathing serpent dragon. name can mean great poisonous dragon - jerruilette- i have to keep checking this one it just seems like its going to turn to be fake but so far so good. like mermaids but with octopus lower halves and tiger like stripes of orange, black, and purple, their bite poisons and turns the one bitten to dust, their kisses turn people in jerruillettes, and they heal sick and injured sea life. - jack-o-lantern- and now the #1 halloween creature. a lazy blacksmith tricks and traps the devil cannot make it into heaven or hell cursed to wander with a turnip/gourd/pumpkin full of hells fire to light his way. symbol of Halloween and its precursor Samhain and all the drinking, games, costumes, and the fairies and spirits said to come into our world on that day. originally the jack-o-lantern was made of turnip and really creepy but either way this will be another customizable creature with interchangeable heads, different carved faces, and costumes like witch hats, sheet ghost cloak, vampire cloak, scarecrow costume, and a skeleton body. also associated with a will'o'wisp called joan the wad- that carries torches, misleads travelers, and can appear as a nude woman. will be able to breath out fire, bats, and ghosts. - odontotyrnannus- "Tooth tyrant. Greek. A 3 horned rhino like beast attacked Alexander the G and his army. Black horse like head, bigger than an elephant. Unafraid of fire can attack 50 men easily. Can eat scorpions." pretty much my only non unicorn thino monster. - con rit- a 50 ft long aquatic millepede monster or segmented dragon. i kind of thought of basing it off those colorful centipedes.

1) sandman, hyrrokkin, baku, raphael, gabriel, michael, rostunger, spartoi, madremonte, simurgh 2) sea serpent, nopperabo, boobrie, squasc, watcher/grigori, hantu tinggi, dormarch, satan, likho 3) utburour, skeljaskrimsli, rezfaszu bagoly, shore laddie, salamander, reptile man of highway 13, tzitzimitl, trolual, adramelech - sandman- a type of fairy that sprinkles magic sand on people and they fall asleep. - hyrrokkin- a dark shriveled giantess riding a giant wolf and using vipers as reigns. she helps out at Baldrs funeral but caused a small earthquake in the process the other gods had to stop Thor from smashing her head, later on at some point Thor smashed her head. her name means fire-smoked so I think she might be a fire giant but shes from jotunheim. - baku- a dream and nightmare eating tapir like creature. it will be one of the most common creatures in the dream world besides Alps - Raphael- an archangel that does a lot of healing and is often seen around water. so I made him an otherwordly sort of aquatic angel. - gabriel- a humanoid archangel/cherubim? plays a horn that raises the dead when the apocalypse comes. his horn will be able to fully restore life to the dead but will also be able to raise them up as undead. - michael- an archangel/seraphim tin the form of a pillar of fire with a flaming sword. -rostungur- means walrus this is another monster from icelandic maps. upper right corner forums.delphiforums.com/mapit/messages/67/5- spartoi- warriors that spring up when dragons teeth are sewn. in my project scales and bones will work as well. they will be dragon people warriors. for the most part they are loyal to the dragon the tooth came from, even if the dragon is long dead. so they are not ideal for someone to try to make their own personal army out of. - madremonte- mother nature she protects the plants and animals of the forest from mankind. there might be more than one and I am thinking of giving her a connection to the Greek goddess Persephone or even Gaia. - simurgh- a female dog bird hybrid with copper feathers and a toothy beak. benevolent and said to have survived the destruction of the world 3 times. represents union of earth and sky. purifies the land and water. abilities- aura that removes any poison, toxicity, or hazard from the area around it. attribute- earth, wind, water - sea serpent- just a generic sea serpent. there are also lake serpents. will eat people, cause floods and large waves, and bumps ships around. - nopperabo- ghosts that appear with no face or wipe their face away. can curse a person to start seeing everyone as faceless and then themselves. in my project they can also have drawn on faces. - boobrie- a malevolent gluttonous waterbird/great auk - squasc- squirrels with human faces and no tails ( eh whats the point of it being squirrel then). it is summoned to frighten childrn and play tricks. im not sure if im using them in my project - watchers/ grigori- angels charged with watching humanity that lusted for women, fathered the nephilim, and were punished by being bound to the earth in chins until judgement day. i think i will go with more eyes, bigger eyes, and more eldritch appearances for them and the chains will be made of earth and rock in appearance - hantu tinggi- tall ghosts that possess palm trees they cause disease, blindness, kill people, and grow taller when people look at them. - dormarch- a type of hounds of the wild hunt have narrow bodies and triple tails instead of back legs. - satan- boss. im still trying to figure out where bible fanfiction ( dantes inferno, paradise lost) actually falls on who the real villain of the Abrahamaic religions was. but anyway. a great red dragon with seven head, 10 horns, crowns and the power to sweep a third of the stars in the sky away with one swipe of its tail. - likho- skinny black one eyed goblins that embody misfortune generally female. - Útburður- when a woman abandons her newborn to die from exposure sometimes they come become ravenlike ghosts that are the color of the rags they were wrapped in and harass and sing ominous songs at the mother - Skeljaskrimsli- a bear monster with blue pangolin like scales protecting its body. - rezfaszu bagoly- a bogeyman type creature in the form of an owl with a penis made of copper. I just want to know why this weirdly specific bogeyman is even a thing. - shore laddie- brown furred, fanged, web footed seal like creatures they prowl the shores but are pretty harmless. - salamander- huh drew another salamander I guess - reptile man of highway 13- the name is a little to specific and far too long but I like the idea of winged lizardfolk. - tzitzimitl- giant skeletal female star deities/demons. they wear decorative skirts and skulls and cross bones. they descend to earth during eclipses and devour people. "they were protectresses of the feminine and progenitresses of mankind. They were also powerful and dangerous, especially in periods of cosmic instability". - trolual- abookofcreatures.com/2015/06/08/trolual/- adramelech- mule headed peacock tailed demon.

1) cassiel, legion, goshg-e/Ookempam, cherubim, ziphius, sandalphon, chickcharnee, beast of dean, 2) slime/slime people, Cthulhu, neko musume, bunny girl, zombie hand, undead dragon, haunted doll, multi-souled people, puss in boots, santa claus 3) king belial, undead gu sorcerer, president ose, king vine, count murmur, duke allocer, duke dantalion, duke vapula - cassiel- "Archangel Speed of God" or "God is my anger" guardian of the sixth palace, armed with a lightning-dripping sword (which shouts "Ruin!") as well as a bow, tempests, light, and powerful winds -- weapons which he uses against anyone not fit to see God". i decided to have cassiel holding his bow with his feet there is a type of archery where people do use their legs to fire the arrow and its actually gets more distance it makes a lot of sense for a being that can fly as well since the will easily be able to hit enemies beneath them with their arrows and this way cassiel can wield its sword and bow at the same time. the canon lore about the light, electric, and wind attacks is nice too. - legion- a demon made of many demons taking one form. in my project the demons it is made of are very small and weak but there are more like them everywhere so they can be gathered to make legion even stronger. can shapeshift coming togther and pulling apart ot do attacks and dodge attacks. - goshg-e/ookempan/ellengassen - "were wild man-eating, child abducting, arrow-proof devils, shrouded by a tough armadillo like shell" 3 lightly described armored monsters from patagonian/argentinian mythology. I liked the armadillo description so I decided to make them bipedal armadillo monsters and since they are described as devils I gave them horns. - cherubim- angels that have 4 wings and the faces of a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle. im still working out how they should look and how the heads should fit on one body or what that body should look like. - ziphius- a toothy whale monster with a beak, bulging eyes, and bristly hair. its kind of like an owl-whale. the maps give a lot of these creatures intricate stripes and patterns and sometimes double blowholes and all that will also definitely play a role in its appearance. another note on the map monsters Bailey Henderson dis some wonderful sculptures based on them. baileyhenderson.com/section/281294_Sculpture.html- sandalphon- archangel and the tallest angel his head reaches heaven. thats right this angels claim to fame is being the tallest. he will be a bog lumbering angel with a deep voice, at this point I decided it didnt make much sense for angels wings to be the same as earth birds so some of them will have weird wings I think my thoughts here were that he is too big and doesnt need to really fly anywhere anyway so these weird tendrils can grabs on to earth or heaven and pull him there like a puppet. - chickcharnee- big red eyed, ground dwelling owl creatures with 3 fingered arms in addition to their legs and wings. they are friendly and bring good luck to those that are respectful they attack those that are disrespectful. - beast of dean- giant boar with moose antlers. I have a lot of boar monsters but I really like the idea of a boar moose it is a pretty elegant combo both are creature that can charge quite fast and are quite hard to stop once they do. -and now im going to jump into one of the very few not fully mythology based pages in my project - slimes/ slime people- both are classic fantasy monsters but I could not decide if I wanted to go with blob-like slimes that barely have more amorphous shape or slime monsters immitating human forms I could probably include both as separate species - Cthulhu- from H.P. Lovecrafts books an otherwordly eldritch abomination whos true from is beyond human comprehension but so we can understand we see a sort of octopus headed dragon winged monster. a popular creature to use in fantasy and probably the most popular Lovecraft being- its been referenced in - Digimon, D&D, Bloodborne, and jut a whole lot of fiction. a lot of people say its been overdone which contrasts with the mythological creatures in my project which arguably have been way underused in fiction and fantasy. anyway I want to keep my options open rather than flat out saying no to cthulhu I just want the spotlight on mythology in my project. - neko musume- women with cat ears and tails said to transform from cats and nekomata. I was surprised their was a fully mythological version of cat girls I thought any connections to mythology were weak. - Bunny Girl- a triple reference - to the anime bunnygirls that seem to be the antithesis of anime catgirls in personality, the Playboy bunnys, and they will also be the creature associated with easter events even using colorful eggs to attack enemies - zombie hands- zombie hands that can keep crawling even when severed as well as the arms of zombies that have not emerged fully from the ground have appeared in a number horror movies and games- if I had to guess probably more games. never very strong but quite sneaky and sometimes numerous they might need a little help to keep moving without being attached to a zombie but their main purpose in jmy project will be to add to the parts you have to mix and match and build more powerful zombies - undead dragon- im not sure if I want a zombie dragon or a bone dragon or both but I definitely want at least one of those. the skeleton dragon will probably be an imcomplete skeleton. - haunted doll- a combo of a mythology, ghosts stories, and horror movie tropes. the Hinnagami is a haunted japanese doll that constantly asks for new tasks to complete and is so attached to its owner even death will not not separate them. I have decided to include several types of dolls in this category the Hinnagami will be the japanese version and will probably use magic, a western variant that uses a butcher knife, voodoo dolls wielding huge needles, and maybe skins for them based on other mythological creatures. their will be individuals names after alleged real life haunted dolls. - multi- souled people- several souls inhabiting one body just an idea I have seen in fiction that I really like, maybe in rare cases a particularly interesting combo like one of the souls being of an ancient hero will come up. they will on occasion talk to themselves in different voices. - puss in boots- a heroic and clever cat that tricked a king, slayed a shapeshifting ogre, and helped his friend become a lord and marry a princess. puss will also be able to be used as a familiar in my project. - santa claus- there is an old game called Dark Stone in which santa claus could be randomly encountered in two varieties one that runs around tossing gifts and one that runs around firing balls of flame. Santa Claus also played a role in Chronicles of Narnia that was received with mixed opinions. so in my project Santa will be 8ft tall with a huge beard and giant hands appears primarily during christmas events and will toss a gift then disappear but if attacked first will respond with powerful physical attacks, high level ice and fire magic, call elves for backup, and throw gifts some that will unleash a random attack, summon a monster that will attack you or will still be a normal gift. during the Christmas event the player could also be transported to his workshop and get gifts and recruit a variety of elf in colorful winter clothing. the gifts might include rare items and weapons including special christmas themed weapons and armor, colorful winter outfits for elves, decorations for tree monsters. - now back to pure mythology. - King Belial- the only real detail given in this demons description is that he must be given gifts, sacrifices, and offerings before he will respond to any question or demand. I think its true that most demons will require something for their services even if contractually obligated by the summoner so I decided this is what Belial is all about and made the demon lord a bratty kid. the appearance is kind of a generic demon appearance similar to a clootie. despite being a kid he will be greatly powerful living up to the same standard as the Ars Goetia demon lords but will require payment and gifts to do anything. - undead gu sorcerers- making the gu poison or the gu jincan was considered an illegal form of sorcery and the sorcerers were decapitated and their head were put on pikes however they had a nasty habit of returning as ghosts- liches if you prefer. these sorcerer ghosts will be the only ones able to make the gu poison or gu jincan in my project so the player will have to recruit them first and then give them a variety of poisonous insects, arachnids, snakes to make a Jincan or some vials of the poison which will be the deadliest poison in the game.in my project they are healed by poison, they spread a poison as they move, and when they use the Gu poison as an item a different animation will occur and the poison will take the shape of a combinations of snake, centipede, and scorpion and run around the battlefield for a few turns with similar abilities and stats to the gu jincan but more wild and out of control. - president ose- a leopard like demon lord knows secrets and of divine things can also drive someone insane and make them think they are - an animal, an object, a king, or a pope. this ability could be used to avoid an encounter or manipulate events in the story. - king/count vine- a lionman demon holding a snake can find witches, see past, present and future, create storms and bring down walls and towers. he is named after an ancient war machine used to overthrow walls. his personality will be that of a warlord planning to conquer all that oppose his summoner. - count murmur- a soldier wearing a crown and riding a giant vulture ( or griffin) can summon the souls of the deceased. - duke allocer- a lionman knight demon introduces immorality and teaches about art and the mysteries of the sky. has burning eyes, speaks with much gravity, provides familiars, and rides a dragon legged horse of some sort. in my project he will be able to make great leaps and have knock flying opponents to the ground and will gain attack when attacking flying opponents. - duke dantalion- a demon lord that knows everyones thoughts, is a man of many appearances, including the face of every man and woman alive. im not sure about the big demon with a bunch of faces and arms representing stolen souls is the right look. - duke vapula- a winged lion demon lord.

1) Naiad, cursed mummy, vampire, valkyrie, bjarnsyrakongur, shadhavar, shamir 2) demon hippo, mbilintu, pollo maligno, ysattirs kajsa, turul, king zagan, duke flauros, marquis leraje, president amy, lamashtu 3) pal raiyuk, amiluk, ugjaknarpak, aillen trechenn, sheela na gigs, nandi bear, capcaun - naiad- water nymphs. in my project they will pretty much appear like they are made of water most of the time and they will also be relatively small they will mostly just be seen running, frolicking, and dancing on top of the water. they have healing powers and very rarely drown people in the myths. all water nymphs will behave in a similar manner regardless of whether they are fresh water or salt water nymphs. - cursed mummy- I have decided the major difference between cursed mummies and zombies is that zombies are brought back by human or maybe demon magic but mummies are brought back by the power of the Egyptian gods. sarcophagi in the Egyptian zone will often that contain mummies that can jump out of them or use them to protect themselves. upon leaving their tomb they end up building up a lot of scorpions and scarabs crawling around on them they can use for attacks, they can cast curses, they can use their bandages to entangle victims, they can use magical egyptian artifacts, and maybe they can call on the power of their gods and transform in big bulky pharaoh mummies covered in riches and symbols of their gods. I think my favorite ancient egyptian character in fiction might be eliza from skullgirls the way all of her attacks represent different egyptian gods and other references to egyptian culture. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwgemvTP2E4- vampire- blood drinking demons that can shapeshift, are nearly immortal, and can turn their victims into more of their kind. they must sleep in a coffin with dirt fro their burial ground during the day. they have a number of weaknesses and few ways to actually be killed. sunlight has kind of gone back and forth as a real weakness of vampire I am going with sunlight being a weakness in my project. decapitation, mirrors, garlic, salt, religious symbols, and being stabbed through the heart with a wooden stake are more consistant weaknesses. some vampire subspecies in my project are- rabisu- they leap out of entrances and doorways, lampir- werewolf that became a vampire after death( will retain werewolf traits such as hairyness, power from the visible full moon), Mormolicoe- a tribe of all female ancient Greek vampires that are companions, allies, and possibly children of Lamia, Lugat- vampires that are especially weak to sunlight they will live in old ruins, caves, or even wells to avoid sunlight, Pey and Peymakilir- male and female versions of a type of vampire that wanders battlefields drinking the blood of the fallen or wounded. they also dance frenziedly. may act like angels of mercy and not be so bad. only the Peymakilir will appear in my project, Alukah- vampires with a taste for horse blood have a preference for transforming into wolves and leeches, berbalang- vampires with cat like eyes. the blood of demons, angels, fairies will give vampires a power boost in my project but as most of those are immune to vampire transformation and in general many of them are stronger than vampire most vampires dwell entirely in the human world with the possible exception of the most powerful vampire lords which will drink demon blood regularly. - Valkyrie- shining winged women warriors with powerful weapons and armor they serve the Norse gods, bring fallen warriors and heroes to Valhalla after they die to become warriors called einherjar, when not fighting or training they carry mead or are the lovers of Heroes. their is a large number of named Valkyries so much so that the named ones will probably be more common than one that doe not have a famous valkyrie name. all of these valkyries will have different abilities and weapons based on their names- Brynhildr – Armor Battle/bright battle, Eir- peace, help, mercy, geidriful- Spearfinger, Geirönul- the one charging forth with a spear, Gondul- Wand wielder, Kara – wild stormy one, Sanngriðr- Very violent very cruel, sigrdriffa- Victory urger, Sigrun- Victory Rune, Skalmöld- sword-time, Skögul – shaker/ high towering, Skeggjöld (“axe-age”). If there are 13 then The 13 are; Goll- ‘Battle Cry’, Geirolul- ‘Spear Charger’, Hrist- ‘Shaker’, Hildr- ‘Battle’, Hlokk- ‘Battle Noise’, Herfjotur- ‘Army-Fetter’, Mist- ‘Cloud’, Radgridr- ‘Bossy’, Randgridr/Randgrith- ‘Shield-Destroyer’, Reginlefir/Reginleif- ‘God’s Daughter’ Skeggjold- ‘Axe-Age’, Sigrdrifa-‘Inciter to Battle’ and Thrudr ‘Power-Woman’ Hildr especially is mentioned as having a unique ability of reviving the dead for an everlasting battle which I think would make an interesting boss battle. on average valkyries will be able to fly, create whirlwinds, and call down lightning from the sky and will be masters of their chosen weapons. valkyries will be from a variety of sources they will be weaker goddesses, transformed humans, and maybe fallen angels. - bjarndyrakongur- the bear king a large polar bear with red cheeks and a single horn, said to be the result of a she bear and a walrus or bull mating. - shahavar- an antelope like creature with a many branching hollow horn that makes music as the wind blows through it the music can be very happy or very sad. may be carnivorous. - shamir- a small worm like creature that can cut through any substance even iron and diamond but will not go through lead. this creature also might be a tool or substance either way it will funtion like an item it will do break through things like walls, locks, and armor and then either come back or crawl off. I should have given it a bigger drawing. - demon hippo- nameless demonic hippo from Nana Miriam story- a fire breathing shapeshifting magical Hippo with pots of fire hanging off ( it also talked/trash talked/was rude/boastful) it ate all the rice www.rejectedprincesses.com/princesses/nana-miriam- mbilintu- a huge beast looking kind of like a fusion of a horse and sloth with a giraffe like neck - pollo maligno- a man eating giant chicken that can fly and is said to be some sort of demon or devil. the 5th (i think) sword of truth novel features a "chicken that is not a chicken" unfortunately this book is widely considered the worst in the series- not because of the chicken but because of the writing and the extreme politics that seeped into it. - ysattirs kajsa- a happy playful wind-troll that dances in whirlwinds. - Turul- a powerful eagle that carries a flaming sword and was an ancestor of Attila the Hun. - King Zagan- a winged bull demon lord that has abilities that seem to focus primarily on turning one liquid into another "turn wine into water, water into wine, and blood into wine" and presumably coke into pepsi (*snickers at my own bad reference to Little Nicky) he also changes fools into wise men and metal into the appropriate coins but i want to focus on the liquid abilities so my King Zagan will always be covered in some sort of dripping slime like liquid. - Duke Flauros- a leopard man demon lord with large claws, fiery eyes, and a frightful expression. must be in a magic triangle or he will lie, trick the conjuror, and presumably worse. once inside the triangle " he will answer truly, and gladly speak about divinity, the creation of the world, himself, and other fallen angels. He can also destroy all the conjurer's enemies by burning them up ( this also includes taking vengeance on other demons) ". - Marquise Leraje- a handsome archer demon clad in green his arrows cause great battles, disputes, and gangrenous wounds. im really glad to have a monstrous archer in my project- well a few other creatures use bows too. his arrows will be able to temporarily turn an enemy against other enemies and once attacked the other enemies will likely focus on the traitor. - President Amy- a demon lord with a body made entirely out of fire. he finds treasures preserved by spirits and seems to work alongside angels occasionally in the unlikely hopes of returning to heaven. - Lamashtu- a lioness like demon with donkey like ears and teeth, and long fingers and claws. she sometimes suckles dogs and pigs while holding snakes... "Her evil deeds included (but were not limited to): slaying children, unborns, and neonates; causing harm to mothers and expectant mothers; eating men and drinking their blood; disturbing sleep; bringing nightmares; killing foliage; infesting rivers and lakes; and being a bringer of disease, sickness, and death. Pazuzu is invoked to protect against her." - pal raiyuk- my original attempt to include pal raiyuk in this project it didnt work out. - amiluk/amikuk- a leathery slimy creature with some sort of mane or frills, no legs and the ability to swim through land. I migt try again with this one but I cut it out of the project at the same time I cut the pal-rai-yuk - cucuio- cut because not enough of my bird monsters actually do anything. -ugjuknarpak- a giant rat monster that hides under overturned canoes and drags prey into the water with its tail. this monsters freshness had worn off since its no longer new to me and it fills perhaps to specific of a niche but that specific niche also keep it kind of interesting so it stays. - aillen trechenn- a 3 headed vulture monster that come out on Halloween/Samhain and possibly breathes fire. it had to be killed twice. alternate interpretations include a 3 headed dragon OR swarm of 3 headed monsters including copper colored birds, and goblins lead by a 3 headed vulture. - sheela na gigs- alongside the gargoyles and hunkypunks carved into churches and castles are these monstrous little female figures with hugely exaggerated vulvas, due to the fact that many are skinny, small breasted, and have ribs showing they are not considered fertility symbols may have represented female lust. - nandi bear/malawi terror beast- a one eyed, mutated, brain eating huge bear/hyena like creature that brutally mutilates its victims. i forget why i drew it like that it may have been a reference to an artwork of the creature that made it appeal to me as a monster. - capcaun- a dog headed ogre said to kidnap children and princesses. so I decided to add some lore to this creature for my project and here is what I added- a kingdom once had a huge problem involving invading ogres so they had some spellcasters transform some dogs into ogre like monsters to fight them off but after they just abandoned them their and after a few generations they ended up being as much of a problem as the ogres were.

1) (accidentally uploaded an early incomplete version of this one so Ill skip the 4 creatures i already talked about.) Camphor, nephilim, Araǵanaqlta’a, tesso, abuhuwa, sewer gator. 2) duke bathin, duke zepar, marquis ronove, duke focalor, count adromalius, knight furcas, prince seere, duke barbatos, president gamigin, marquis shax 3) nguma monene, demon/clootie, zombie, finfolk/ningen, eloko/biloko, skeleton, jack-in-irons, panther, bear - camphor- a web-footed aquatic unicorn. - nephilim- the offspring of human women and angels these supernatural giants are often aggressive and sometimes evil. for a while I was using them as a my main form of giants from earth but now the Greek gigantes have that roll. in my project they will often have magical symbols and angelic script on their bodies to gain more power as well as focusing and controlling that power better. they will sometimes seek out their angelic parent usually a watcher which are chained to the earth or another type of fallen angel, either way much easier to find than other angels. - Araǵanaqlta’a- i lost interest in this creature early on like in the middle of drawing it. but since Im making new pages I might try to include it again. - Tesso- originally a jealous monk that turned into a big rat creature with iron hard fangs and the ability to control swarms of rats. in my project they are just giant rats that have the power to control swarms of rats. - abuhuwa- rainforest dwelling demon that cuts a whole in victims and uses it to suck their body dry. they have sticky bodies that make impossible to escape their grasp, they have and extra face on the back of their head, and the females have long pendulous breasts. are transformed humans, have poisonous armpit hair, and turn into sloths when killed. I gave them a sort of double face and since they have kind of a mosquito like thing going on both sides have a spike similar looking to a mosquitoes probuscus but there is also a mouth full of sharp teeth going down the middle of the 2 faces. they will be coveres in a sticky goo that allows them to hold onto their prey but they will also have a tendency to get tuck to objects around them or the ground they are standing on. -sewer gator- blind red/pink eyed albino gators that after being flushed down toilets or something similar live in the sewer and drain pipes. - Duke Bathin- a reptile tailed demon lord riding a white horse. he is able to help people travel from country to country (by teleporting most likely) and can teach them to astral project. not the same kind of creature as lizardfolk but in my project he will have a subtle combination of lizard and human features he will also be very acrobatic. - Duke Zepar- a soldier demon lord in red clothes and armor. he can bring people together in love but can also make women barren. - Marquis Ronove- a monstrous demon lord holding a staff. he can find loyal servants gain favor from friends and foes and is described as a taker of old souls of decrepit humans and animals near death. so the few demons in ars goetia with no real description are free to be about anything and perhaps are beyond describing so I plan for them to be as odd and monstrous as possible but with ronove I want whatever monstrous form he has to be shoved into a cloak and be a spellcaster because of the staff. - Duke Focalor- a winged demon lord. he kills men, overthrows warships, has power over the wind and sea, but can also be commanded not to harm anyone by his summoner. has a false hope of returning to heaven in 1000 years. - Count Andromalius- a demon lord that finds thieves, stolen goods, underhanded deals, and wickedness he is a punisher of thieves. hs carries a big snake and I think originally i was going to have him use the snake like a whip to punish thieves but I ended up giving him snake arms that can stretch a long distance. due to his snake arms Valac thinks he is really fascinating and won't leave him alone which can annoy him greatly. - Knight furcas- an elderly demon knight with a long beard he can teach many things including pyromany/ fire magic and carries a pitchfork - Prince Seere- a beautiful demon lord riding a winged horse he is said to have a good nature but be indifferent to evil can travel anywhere on earth in seconds, bring abundance, or help find hidden treasure and with robbery. in my project he see himself as a heroic treasure hunter. he often come into conflict with count andromalius due to his penchant for finding hidden treasure as well as robbery. - Duke Barbatos- a bearded philosopher demon he can give understanding of the voices of animals , says past and future, conciliates friends and rulers, and he can lead men to hidden treasures that have been hidden by the enchantment of magicians. in my project barbatos is a close ally and companion of seere as they both have an interest in treasure hunting and barbatos can see through any magic concealing the treasure and get past any tricks such as booby traps, curses, and maybe mimics. - Marquis Gamigin- a tiny donkey demon lord witha rough voice good at finding the souls of those that died in sin or drowned in the sea. - Marquis Shax- a stork demon with a hoarse voice "He takes away the sight, hearing and understanding of any person under the conjurer's request, and steals money out of kings' houses, carrying it back to the people. He also steals horses and everything the conjurer asks". a liar unless in a magical triangle also has a shoddy record with the familiars he gives some of them deceiving or betraying the conjurer. - Nguma Monene- a hippo killing lizard cryptid that has stegosaurus like plates on its back - demon/clootie- for a while i wanted to include a generic species or 2 of demons including the red skinned, goat-legged, wingless, large horned demons anyway that ended up being the description of a type of demon called a clootie and i liked the name so it stuck. - zombie- I already talked about zombies but I did a better rough draft on this page of what i might want zombies to look like - finfolk/ningen- amphibious fish people often unfriendly, greedy, and territorial fish people that sometimes live in crystal places. Ningen are described as being monstrous almost reverse mermaids. - got to blow through these because I just used up the time I meant to use on both mythology research and tumblr on something else - eloko- - ( Biloko plural) "Africa. Dwarf/ ancestor spirit. Haunt forest, have grudge with the living. Vicious, jealously guard fruit of the forest. Hairless and clothed in leaves, they have piercing eyes, snouts with mouths ( that can be opened wide enough to admit a human body, alive or dead- this was added later and is contradictory) and long, sharp claws . Have a bell that can hypnotize women so they will let the biloko take bites out of them and eventually eat them." - skeleton- skeletal warriors usually with sword and shield, bare hand, or an axe. I'm unsure if skeletons should use bows... - Jack in irons- a chain clad boar faced 13ft tall giant. the 6th ranger to the quirky mini boss squad of el sombreron, skunk ape, and poplick monster. - Panther- like a normal panther but it is light colored with many colorful spots and breathes out a flame like breath that has a pleasant odor that attracts all prey except dragons who are immune. I have a new idea for these where they look like normal panthers but their coat shifts colors in the light revealing their true colorful coat - Bear - pliny the elder said bears are born as shapeless masses of flesh and have to be licked into shpe by their mothers. in my story their is ma variety of bear that are bigger, stronger, and probably smarter but when they are born they have so much fur they look like a shapeless mass of fur and kind of just get bounced around instead of being able to walk normally

1) Gaasyendietha, teratsutsuki, te-no-me, rat king, pegasus, marabecca, horerczy, rahara, takitaro, inuit lake penis 2) munuane, indombe, dipsas, seps, Haemorrhois, prester, jaculus, cerastes, raudkembingur, hrossvalur, romsiswamnari, hundun, guariba boa, sarmatian sea snail, baxbakwalanuxsiwae, yedua, flashlight frog, abura sumashi, mini t-rex, binaye ahani - gaasyendietha- dragons that fly through the sky making fiery trails and crashing into the earth like meteors- from Seneca Native American Lore ( yay American dragons). somewhat related there was a movie - Dragon Storm was its name about dragon eggs or maybe they were cocoons crashing into the earth like meteors and then hatching, the concept was handled really well and while Im not sure my Gaassyendietha will crash into the earth as eggs I like the concept maybe the cocoon idea could work just have it make a rocklike shield and really become like a meteor. - teratsutsuki- ghost woodpecker yokai that can destroy temples and other buildings with its pecking. - te-no-me- so far im not going to use this creature. lately I have been having a lot of fun of fun with monsters that have built in weaknesses more than I would have accepted back when I was this far looking through creatures. but there is a problem here what makes te-no-me most interesting is the same thing as its weakness and it doesnt have much else going for it I like the hand eye thing, the Pale Man of Pans Labyrinth pulled it off really well but he had a lot more going on in his design and lore so if I did use te-no-me I would also be making some dreastic additions to make it appeal to me. - rat king- a mass of rats that became stuck to each other and have tails become intertwined together possibly stuck to each other with sap or by human cruelty. they are also a bad omen of plague. in my story they can be found in any dirty run down human territory, in their predicament they became more fully fused with magic and in the middle will be one big rat that support the wriggling mass of rats and makes it so they can move around better. - pegasus- winged horse that sprang from medusas dead body as her offspring. pretty sure there is a name for winged horses from Greek myth as a species but Pegasi will be a subspecies of them. pure white and I just read he is a symbol of oncoming storms and bears lightning bolts for zeus so maybe some electric powers for pegasus. - rainbow serpent- again not using as it is currently worshipped just ignore it. -marabecca- there are a few monster with unknown appearances that live in wells and eat children but this is the first one I heard of, i like its name, and its one of the very few Italian monsters on my list - horerczy- basically the Boss version of Alps this big demon breathes out black butterflies that turn into alps. major dream and nightmare world monsters so far- phobetor, baku, alp, horerczy - rahara- technically a snake monster bigger than an anaconda but with a body like a big rotting pawpaw tree they dwell in lagoons that never dry up. I kind of made it into an aquatic tree monster but im still working on it. - Takitaro- very big fish that eats boats and deer and can control storms. i do kind of want a monster that is basically a pretty big version of a normal fish and controlling storms is and interesting bonus but I go back and forth on this one a lot. - inuit lake penis- a penis that arises from a lake in the Inuit hero Kiviuqs story whenever someone chants "big penis big penis". it slept with kiqiuqs 2 wives and its story didnt end well. I included it as a joke but I do intend to keep all my more offbeat creatures to keep things interesting. so I bring on myself the need to figure out how this creature will fight against other monsters and how to not show whatever it is attached to when underwater. - munuane- an ogre with long grey hair and an eyeless face and a toothless turtle mouth. the eyes are instead located on its knees. has a wife called Matasoropapénayo, or “Little-bone-of-the-crown” and honestly i really like that name I might add her to the project later on. easily outsmarted and turns into a rotten tree stump when defeated the entire forest cries out and mourns its passing as he is also a forest protector. in my lore the eyes are on its knees due to a curse of some sort, I like how it turns into a rotten tree stump after dying so I made it into a tree monster. - indombe- a gigantic village eating snake with a glowing fiery hot body it was killed but came back as a ghost presumably still huge and fiery. can also breath fire and seems to be immune to attempts to use mindcontrol or hypnotism on it. - dipsas- a snake with a venom that causes extreme thirst. had black and white stripes and yellow spots. - seps- snake with venom that causes liquification, putrefications, and rotting. colorful and has chameleon camouflage - Haemorrhois- snake with venom that causes blood to gush out of the body uncontrollably. has bristly horns and is pitch black OR fiery in color- perhaps both. - prestor- snake with venom that causes extreme swelling and inflation as well as a bunch of other nasty side effects. - jaculus- a snake with a head like a javelin and poisonous skin it launches itself like a javelin to pierce its prey. - cerastes- a snake much like the real snake with horns but this one has 4 horns or curling horns. I like the 4 horned version. - Raudkembingur and Hrossvalur- out of all the vaguely barnyard themed evil whales of icelandic folklore that didnt quite make it into my project these 2 came the closest ( the cat, mouse, and sword whales being the only one to actually make into my project) but I started to have too many whales and they both kind of cancelled each other out by both having red crests. - romsiswamnari- the flabby, bat winged, scissor beaked pelican like monster has not quite made my project but its one of the better one that hasnt - hundun/ dijiang- a faceless creature with 6 legs and 4 wings. yellow and/or red in color. it sings, dances, and seems to be constantly confused. it is a being of chaos. - guariba boa- the only creature that i have officially cut from my project. - sarmatian sea snail- a snail monster with pearl bearing antlers, whiskers, glowing eyes, dangling neck flesh, a tiger like pattern, has 4 clawed feet, can cure leprocy. hmm I just noticed I accidentally gave it 6 feet and I think im going to stick with that look. - yedua- basically a lot of mistranslations led to this being a vagualey human monster thats attached to the ground by its bellybutton and attacks and eats anything in the circle around wher it grows from until it runs out of food. I like it this plant monster that is stuck in place. it is also small enough that it could be moved or even carry its roots in a little pot like a potted plant in order to move around - baxbakwalanuxsiwae- translates to “Cannibal-at-the-North-End-of-the-World” and “He-Who-First-Ate-Man-at-the-Mouth-of-the-River”; “Ever-More-Perfect-Manifestation-of-the-Essence-of-Humanity” a bear like monster covered in constantly snapping bloody mouths lives in a red cedar bark house with red smoke coming from the chimney with various other fiendish monsters. - flashlight frog- glowing colorful frogs would make nice background fauna but I am not using them currently. - abura sumashi- these rock/potato headed yokai seem pretty cute but im not using them either right now. - mini t-rex- the name is pretty plain and its either going to be a mediocre raptor or have the cartoony neoteny kind of traits of mascot dinosaur monsters from other monster collecting series- and while that second choice has a lot some appeal its not enough so far. - binaye ahani- I didnt like my first attempt and later added the binaye ahani again along with the other anaye so I will cover most of them all together soon.

Oh and since Tumblr is going in a bad direction I might move my official art posts here and start a Patreon as well. it has been mostly sfw so far but the subject matter in many of these myths will not work if I have to censor my posts.
